Geocaching – Spoiler Alert!

I might have had heard about Geocaching ages ago and I probably did. Yet the farthest mention of it I can recall dates back to 2011, when a friend / former co-worker of mine started with it actively and he was all about it, passionately describing all his adventures during cache hunting.

I liked the idea for sure, but back then I was still using my beloved old phone (SE K750i – dunno why I get weirdly attached to my belongings so often) and without a smartphone (or a tablet/laptop nowadays) this game is rather impossible to enjoy. And that’s how I missed on quite a few amazing places for a treasure hunt on my travels, because that’s what Geocaching is basicaly about. Simple, yet genius.

Recently, living on a quiet island out of the main touristic season, I was looking for some ideas on how to spend the time and voilá – our paths crossed again.

So the hunt begun!

The intentional idea was to have a pic nearby each find, but it turns out I always forget to either include the log, the location or even myself on the pic. Yet I’m doing my best! 😀

Nearby a little chapel – just for the view it’s totally worth it! Actual photo from the day the cache was found:

Cache #5 Ghadira Ta’ San Raflu, 22. 11. 2015, Gozo, Malta

This one looks like it was taken in a cave, I’m aware of that. But although it was a nice place, it started to rain and I was cold 😀 PS: Not suitable if you’re afraid of ducks 😀 PPS: You can see the exact spot where the cache is hidden on the pic:))
