Coworking Tips and insider’s look

Why should you even bother leaving your own cosy flat and try to work elsewhere, you ask?

There is no simple answer, but plenty of reasons to choose from.

I’ll give you one to start with – you can try the concept for FREE for a week and see for yourself. That’s the way that usually works for me; I have this annoying need to experience things first hand!

Things you might not know about coworking

What does a “Coworking Space” mean? It’s typically (but not necessarily) a membership-based workspace where various independent professionals,  freelancers and other remote workers work together in a communal setting.

Besides individuals, the concept of coworking spaces also attracts all kinds of startups and even small businesses – allowing them to avoid the significant cost of renting out traditional offices and therefore the risk of paying for space and time they don’t need.

And let’s not forget the networking opportunities over a cup of coffee.

With that being said, have you ever heard about the desire of working alone together? Well, now you did. It’s a phenomenon of our generation – we don’t want to be forced to interact with work colleagues, as those we can’t always choose to our liking; but staying at home, completely cutting ourselves from the outer world is not the best solution either.

Usually, in coworking spaces, you are able to choose whether you want to work in a quiet corner, or in a space with shared tables where interaction is encouraged. Using coworking spaces increases your productivity (that’s a fact) and in the same time it’s completely up to you whether to socialize with others or not!

But to be honest, connections with others are one of the main reasons why people pay to work in a communal space, as opposed to working from their own living room for free. Where else would you find groups of people with such unique skill sets, all likely to be connected to what you do in one way or another?

Each coworking space has its own vibe. The open door policy makes it super easy to explore and experiment, until you find your perfect match. Or just keep hopping between them, it’s your call.

I love the fact that I was able to leave the rather uptight work persona behind, and just enjoy what I do in a professional, but not pretensious environement.
